Organization of Jivan's Day
Javakhk has given Armenia and the whole world many outstanding cultural figures, writers and scientists, dedicated to whom annual festivals, celebrations and honoring events are organized. The most large-scale and expected of such celebrations is the series of events entitled “Jivan’s Day”, which is already traditionally celebrated in Karzakh, the native village of the great Ashugh. This all-Javakhk holiday brings together not only the people of Javakhk, but also Jivan lovers from different regions of Georgia and Armenia, the Russian Federation and other countries. This series of events, which constitute an important component of the cultural life of Javakhk, particularly contributes to the spread and strengthening of the rich Ashugh heritage in Javakhk, both within the framework of local residents and Javakhkians from abroad, where the issue of preserving national identity is still vital today. For about 10 years now, the “Support to Javakhketi” foundation has been providing financial and organizational support to the events together with the local self-government bodies of Javakhk, and also, meeting the desire of many intellectuals, students, and journalists from Armenia to participate in the event, provides the transportation of guests to Javakhk. You can also contribute by ensuring the continuation of the Javakhk tradition.
